The 2025 Graduation and Dropout Rates will be available for preview on MI School Data beginning on February 12th, 2026 - February 19th, 2026.

Only users with “View Preview Data" permission checked on their user account have access to view data while it is in preview. If you log in and do not have access to see this information but feel you should, please contact your ISD User Administration contact to update your user account.

As a reminder, for the 2025-26 Spring Early Childhood Collection, CEPI will no longer send data quality emails. To see your data quality alerts, use the Data Quality Report in the MSDS application. These reports are refreshed every Thursday throughout the collection cycle, as opposed to our previous method (two data snapshots per collection).

Per Section 25e of the State School Aid Act, districts wishing to submit Section 25e pupil transfer requests must do so before the Spring Supplemental Count Day (Feb. 11). Except as noted below, records containing the Section 25e Component must be certified in the MSDS Student Record Maintenance Collection by 11:59 p.m. EST on Feb. 10.

Through Friday, March 13, districts may resubmit Section 25e requests that meet all of the following criteria:

1. The request was previously denied by the ISD auditor.
2. The ISD auditor requested that the district resubmit the request with corrected information. 
3. The initial request was submitted prior to Feb. 11.
4. The As Of Date, Enrollment Date and First Day in Attendance are prior to Feb. 11.

February 11, 2026, is the State-legislated Spring 2026 pupil membership count date. After the count date, districts can no longer submit a student record with an "As Of Date" on or prior to 2/11/2026 in the SRM Collection. Any updates to student records that were effective on or prior to count date should be included in the Spring 2026 General Collection.

The Spring 2026 General Collection is now available in MSDS.

Important Dates

• Feb. 11: Spring supplemental count date
• Mar. 5: Data quality checks performed on data submitted before this date
• Mar. 18: Certification deadline
• Mar. 25: Corrections must be complete, and data recertified by 11:59pm
