The Michigan Student Data System (MSDS) application is a Web based system that will replace the existing Single
Record Student Database (SRSD) system. The new system will ensure the secure collection
of student record data. It will provide for maintenance of student records through file upload
and online entry. Error checking and correction will also be Web-based. Information can
now be automatically exchanged with local and other State systems. MSDS also provides
enhanced reporting on submitted data.
